A long password is a good password.
It´s OK with regular words, but the complete password has to be “weird” and long!.
It will be even better if you add some odd characters, misspellings and foreign words.
Perhaps you should avoid Swedish letters (å,ä,ö) to make it easier behind another kind of keyboard.
Do not use words that can be easy to find out, such as birthdays or names of spouse, partner, child, pet, address, car, boat, or similar.
Do not use simple sequences of key presses on the keyboard.
Exampel (not! to be used..): bokenchomps93Huliggan
Avoid typing your password with someone else watching – ask them to look away for a moment.
Do not let anyone else know your password.
Do not write down your password, but instead memorize it by heart.
If you read your work e-mail in your cell phone
, you must also update it to match the new password.
Note! Do not use the passwords in these examples!
Do Not! Change Your Password Regularly
Modern resarch has shown that changing passwords regularly is a bad idea. The important point is to make a strong password from start.
If you have a weak password, or if you have reason to believe it has become known by someone else; then you should change it.
When you change your password, do not write it down. Instead, try to practice logging in and out several times with the new password. Often, repetition is the best way to remember.
